The Full FBT Calculator for 31 March 2026

It's finally here, the FULL FBT calculator. Painstakingly created over the course of the past year, the Full FBT calculator is the tool you've been waiting for (and many have been asking for!). It will guide you through each module of the FBT rules making sure you do not miss any of the fringe benefits. It consists of three separate calculators:

1. The FBT for cars calculator,

2. The Entertainment calculator and

3. The Full FBT calculator.

Because the car and entertainment rules are so complex, they needed to be separate. The last calculator pulls in the data from the cars and entertainment calculators, then you add in data for all the other fringe benefits provided, expense, property, board, residual, etc etc. It guides you every step of the way to help you manoeuvre an incredibly complicated area of our tax laws.

Please note, the cars and entertainment calculators can be used as standalone calculators IF you have just these two fringe benefits to deal with. But if you have clients with the other fringe benefits, you will need the full bundle.

The full FBT calculator also tracks all Reportable Fringe Benefits, summarises all of the fringe benefits provided into a summary page that then feeds into the FBT return.

Finally, it shows the gross up needed to include into your state Payroll Tax returns, it summarises all of the employee contributions to agree to the year end financial statements AND it has a link to all the ATO FBT declarations employees will need to complete.

It also has a Job Summary page, see pic, where supervisors can review their staff’s work . On one page you can see all the FBT types that applied for that client. Then you can click on the blue button, it takes you to that tab to review the work. The tabs won’t change to complete until certain questions are answered. If that tab does not apply, they click on the Not Used button. The supervisor can make sure all questions are answered to make the Completed box in the top right of the Job Summary pic go Green. 

The pricing needs to be explained. As outlined above you can buy cars and entertainment calculators separately. These sells for $400 plus the GST each. The full FBT calculator alone is $800 plus GST. That makes the total $1,600 plus GST. BUT if you buy all three as a bundle it is $1,400 plus GST. Also, if you have already bought the cars or the entertainment calculators separately, I know who you are and will offer you an upgrade to the full bundle for the price difference. 

I think you will agree, this is outstanding value and for the products offered and I am sure once you start to use them (a) it will save you precious time and (b) you will have suggestions for improvements and upgrades for future editions.
